The Society is fortunate to have an impressive collection of property atlases and maps covering Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. Among the holdings is one of every atlas published that covers, either in whole or in part, the communities along the Old York Road in Eastern Montgomery County. It is this group of maps that the Society is able to provide to the public over the internet, in cooperation with Franklin Maps, the regions only remaining map and atlas publisher.
The Society’s property atlas holdings (along with published maps prior to 1870) are listed below. Those atlases available on the internet are shown in blue, and by clicking on a title you will be linked to the corresponding Index Map or a list of the plates contained in that particular atlas. From there, you can select the plate desired. All map files are in .pdf format and require Adobe Acrobat software in order to be viewed properly. You should take advantage of the zoom features in Acrobat so as to locate specific properties or owners.
The maps provided hereon are intended for private use only. The Society’s entire collection of atlases and maps, including all of those accessible on the internet, are available for inspection and use at the Society’s headquarters during our public hours.
